DEVELOPMENT STATUS
VoltCAD Development Roadmap
A directional view of the work ahead. Priorities may change as the product develops and real engineering workflows are evaluated.
Electrical and control-panel design, built around real engineering workflows.
In developmentVOLTCAD / IN DEVELOPMENT
Engineering software shaped by equipment work.
VoltCAD is MCT Nexus’s developing electrical and control-panel CAD initiative. It grows from practical needs in machine design, component information, drawing reuse, and engineering handover. Product capabilities and release plans remain under development.
DIRECTIONAL ROADMAP
Build the foundation. Validate the workflow. Extend the assistance.
Current / CAD foundation
Develop and refine the core electrical and panel-design environment. The immediate focus is a usable foundation rather than a broad set of advertised production features.
Next / Workflow validation
Evaluate how engineers create, edit, organize, and review design information. Use that feedback to prioritize reliability, usability, templates, and component workflows.
Future / Connected engineering
Explore stronger links between design data, material information, and engineering assistance, including AI-supported workflows where they can be reviewed and validated.
HOW PRIORITIES ARE CHOSEN
Practical value before a longer feature list.
The roadmap is guided by recurring engineering work: maintaining consistent drawings, handling revisions, reusing proven patterns, and preparing information for the next person in the project. Feedback from electrical engineers, OEMs, and panel builders helps identify which problems deserve attention first.
- Understand the workflow and the information it requires
- Validate the interaction with representative engineering tasks
- Check how changes affect drawings and related data
- Define review and verification before broader use
This roadmap is not a release commitment. Dates, availability, pricing, integrations, and final feature scope have not been announced here.
