VOLTCAD BY MCT Nexus
VoltCAD — Electrical CAD & Engineering Automation
VoltCAD is MCT Nexus’s electrical and control-panel design software project, focused on practical engineering workflows. The product is in development.
Electrical and control-panel design, built around real engineering workflows.
In developmentPRODUCT DIRECTION
Bring panel design closer to the engineering workflow.
VoltCAD is being developed around the needs of panel builders, electrical designers, and automation integrators. The goal is a focused workspace for organizing and developing control-panel designs.
- Electrical and control-panel design focus
- Panel layout and reusable design information
- A workflow shaped by hands-on engineering needs
DEVELOPMENT ROADMAP
A focused foundation, with room to grow.
CAD foundation
The prototype work centers on core drawing and layout tools, grids, snapping, layers, and templates.
Connected design information
Planned direction includes smarter component information and closer links between layouts and bills of materials.
Design assistance
Longer-term exploration includes layout automation and AI-assisted workflows. These are development goals.
VoltCAD is in development. Roadmap items describe the intended direction and are not a list of released features. Contact MCT Nexus for current status and availability.
BUILT FROM WORKFLOW EXPERIENCE
Software informed by engineering work.
The experience behind MCT Nexus includes developing internal CAD-to-ERP workflows and project-management tools. That background informs how we think about design reuse, parts information, and engineering handoffs.
VoltCAD is a separate product initiative, developed around the needs of electrical and panel-design teams.

What is available today?
VoltCAD is in development. Contact MCT Nexus to confirm the current prototype status, demonstration availability and any evaluation arrangements. No general release date, price or production-readiness commitment is made on this website.
What is being explored?
The intended direction includes schematic automation, device and terminal numbering, BOM preparation, component information, design reuse, engineering knowledge and AI-assisted electrical design. Standards checking and automated design assistance are planned areas of exploration, not verified released features.
How is this related to MCT Nexus services?
MCT Nexus designs and supports industrial equipment and control systems. VoltCAD is a distinct software initiative informed by those engineering workflows. Prior internal CAD/ERP tools described in the experience background are separate projects and should not be interpreted as functions already implemented in VoltCAD.
