MCT Nexus develops electrical, controls and equipment-integration packages for manufacturing process equipment. The starting point is the material being handled, the required operating cycle and the conditions that define a good result. Pumps, valves, tanks, heaters and instruments then become parts of a coordinated system.
A project may involve a new machine, an automated step added to existing equipment, or replacement of controls that no longer support the process. We define the equipment interfaces and operating sequence before programming begins, so mechanical, electrical and software decisions support the same production requirement.
Equipment functions we bring together
Fluid transfer and circulation
Pump commands, valve states, level conditions and flow feedback need to agree. We define what permits transfer, what confirms movement and what should happen when a process condition is lost. Equipment selection and operating limits are checked against the fluid, duty and supplier information.
Filling and dispensing
A filling sequence can include container verification, recipe selection, metering, shutoff and completion checks. The engineering work connects those steps to operator information and recoverable machine states. The measurement method is selected around the process requirement rather than assuming every fill can be controlled by time alone.
Heating, cooling and circulation
Thermal equipment needs a defined measurement location, operating range and response to abnormal conditions. Controls can coordinate heaters, circulation equipment, valves and cooling interfaces. Process-control behavior and protective functions are considered separately, with their responsibilities established during the machine review.
Tanks and batch sequences
Level, temperature, mixing and transfer steps can be coordinated as an operating sequence. We identify which conditions allow each step, which parameters operators may change and what information must be retained after an interrupted cycle. Tank construction and process chemistry remain explicit engineering inputs.
Packaged equipment interfaces
Supplier equipment may provide ready, running, fault and permissive signals through wiring or a network. MCT Nexus defines the exchange, command ownership and recovery behavior with the equipment supplier. This helps an integrated machine distinguish a process delay from an unavailable device or an unacknowledged command.
Retrofits and maintainability
For existing equipment, we first document the installed devices, software and operating behavior. The upgrade scope can then target obsolete controls, incomplete diagnostics or an added process function. The handover should reflect what is installed, including relevant settings, I/O, electrical drawings and software backups.
From process description to acceptance testing
The project basis identifies the material, operating range, required throughput, utilities, available space and production constraints. A process narrative describes normal operation, setup, cleaning where applicable, interruptions and restart. Equipment and instrumentation responsibilities are assigned before the electrical and controls package is released.
Testing follows the agreed requirements: device checkout, measurement verification, operating steps, alarms, recovery and representative cycles. Any required process-performance demonstration is defined with the customer, including test material, measurement method and acceptance limits. Installation and startup are planned around the site and the available production window.
Define the project scope
The scope is agreed at equipment level. Pressure-containing construction, specialized thermal design, hazardous-area requirements and regulated process validation require the appropriate qualified parties and documented responsibilities. MCT Nexus’s machine controls and integration work is coordinated with those requirements; listing an equipment category does not imply a certified vessel-manufacturing or chemical-process service.
