MCT Nexus develops machine-control software and defined automation interfaces for manufacturers and machine builders. The work connects equipment behavior, operator information and production records so people can see what the machine is doing and act on useful information.
Industrial software and engineering software serve different users. PLC/HMI applications run and support equipment. Data interfaces connect agreed production information to an existing system. VoltCAD is MCT Nexus’s separate engineering-software direction, focused on electrical-design workflows and currently in development.
Software at the machine and engineering level
PLC application software
Machine software defines operating states, coordinated sequences, device control and fault recovery. The structure should make the intended behavior understandable during testing and maintenance. We align the program with the electrical design and physical machine, including the interfaces to supplier equipment and adjacent stations.
HMI and operator workflows
An operator interface should answer practical questions: what step is active, what is preventing progress and what action is available? Screens, alarms, recipes and parameter access are developed around those questions. The operating workflow is reviewed with the people who will use and maintain the machine.
Production records and traceability
Recording a value is different from creating a useful production record. Part identity, recipe revision, result and timing need a defined relationship. We establish the data source, event trigger and required context, then coordinate the exchange with the customer’s existing storage or production system.
Dashboards and reporting interfaces
A useful display starts with a specific production or maintenance question. We define the required events and measurements, their meaning and the receiving system. Custom reporting or integration scope is agreed against the installed environment, available interfaces and the team responsible for the data.
Engineering workflow automation
Repeated information entry can disconnect drawings, material lists and project records. We review the workflow to identify the source of each value, where it is reused and where engineering review remains necessary. A defined improvement can begin with one repeatable task and a clear acceptance check.
VoltCAD by MCT Nexus
VoltCAD explores electrical CAD and engineering automation within an engineering workspace. Its direction includes connected design information and reduced repetitive work. It remains a development project: concepts and roadmap discussions are separate from currently delivered machine-control software and do not establish released feature availability.
Deliver software with a clear operating boundary
We first identify the user, equipment, task and required result. The scope records system interfaces, data ownership, operating permissions and the expected behavior during interruptions. A reviewable workflow or functional description creates a shared basis before implementation.
Testing covers normal use and the agreed failure cases, including missing data, rejected commands and unavailable connected systems. The delivery package identifies source projects, configuration, versions, backups and support responsibilities. Changes to plant IT/OT access or business-system interfaces are coordinated with the responsible customer team.
Define the project scope
This service is scoped to the actual engineering and manufacturing need. MCT Nexus does not advertise an off-the-shelf MES, ERP, production-scheduling suite or predictive-maintenance product through this page. Where a project needs those systems, their ownership and the required machine or data interfaces are established explicitly. VoltCAD inquiries have a separate route for product-development discussions.
Project questions
Is VoltCAD the software used to operate our machines?
No. VoltCAD is an engineering-software project in development. PLC and HMI applications are separate project deliverables for operating industrial equipment.
Can you connect machine data to an existing application?
We review the supported interfaces, data definitions and customer requirements before committing to the integration. Access, ownership and operational responsibility need to be clear.
Can we start with a small software improvement?
Yes. A defined alarm, recipe, data-recording or engineering-workflow problem can be evaluated as a focused scope, with acceptance criteria and a handover appropriate to the task.
