MCT Nexus supports machine builders and manufacturing teams when a project needs additional electrical, controls or startup capacity. The work begins with a deliverable: an electrical drawing package, a machine program, a panel scope, an integration task or a commissioning responsibility. Clear inputs and acceptance criteria make that support easier to coordinate with the rest of the project.

Support can fit a new build, a repeat machine, a customer-specific option or an existing equipment change. We discuss the technical requirements and project timing before confirming the scope and availability.

Where MCT Nexus can take responsibility.

Electrical and panel engineering

Develop or update schematics, I/O lists, device selections, panel layouts and field connection information. Establish the customer’s standards and review process before detailed work begins. Coordinate design changes with purchasing and build activity so the physical panel matches the issued package.

Controls software and integration

Develop machine sequences, HMI screens, alarms, recipes and interfaces within the agreed PLC/HMI scope. Review how the machine exchanges information with robots, conveyors, process devices and other suppliers’ equipment. Identify the owner of each interface and the evidence needed to accept it.

Startup and handover

Support I/O checkout, functional testing, FAT preparation, site commissioning and documentation closeout. The plan should identify who provides utilities, test parts, operators, plant access and authority to operate the machine. These are project dependencies, not minor details to resolve after travel is booked.

Integrate with the way your team works.

An OEM engineering package needs to fit the machine builder’s conventions. MCT Nexus reviews drawing templates, program structure, naming conventions, component preferences and customer-specific requirements. Reusable code, third-party libraries and licensing responsibilities should be identified before they become part of the delivery.

The review cycle should be explicit: what information the customer supplies, when MCT Nexus issues a design or software revision, who approves it and how changes are recorded. A defined scope also separates corrections to the agreed work from new requirements introduced later. That distinction helps both teams manage schedule and cost.

For repeat machines, discuss which functions are standard and which options vary. Configuration information and released revisions should make it possible to identify what was actually delivered on a particular machine. Support an operating plant without losing the equipment context.

Plant engineering support often starts with an installed system rather than a complete specification. The first task may be reviewing available backups, drawings, device information and recurring symptoms. MCT Nexus can define an assessment that leads to a troubleshooting or retrofit scope.

Changes must account for production access, shutdown windows, recovery plans and the condition of the machine. A program modification that appears small can affect downstream interfaces, operator procedures or protective functions. The scope should therefore include the relevant review and verification, not only the time required to edit code.
